hola pple..today last minutes plan..at 1pm, prince ask me out, meet at ct hall, and just window shopping at marina square but in the end i bought 3 shirts at Dorothy Perkins...lol..habiz lah gaji aku tiz months..our next plan..watch fast n furious 4 at cineleisure...tapi ape kan daya..when we reached there 2 slot time tickets sold out...haiz and the next slot at 11pm...so me n prince window shopping again at cineleisure..met sabri and aisyah..just smiled and say hi to them...me and prince had our late lunch at bbq chicken @cineleisure basement..
after heavy lunch..we wanted to chill out at starbuck near the swensen's..but it has closed down..so we went to coffee been at paragon level 1...
ok guyz..wat do you think about the customer service in singapore? Am sure u guyz have experience it urself..be good or bad right? Sometimes i felt that we have to use our initiative when we r doing things and the way we approached ppl...I am not saying that singaporean have bad service but we really need to improve our service standard...
venue: coffee bean Paragon
Time: 6.oopm
Staff strenght: 6-7 barista
me and prince decided to sit inside coz i complained that the weather is really warm..so we managed to find two seats in the middle of the cafe..i bought a large vanilla frapp with cream to be shared by me and prince...
a middle aged man..walked into the cafe and he sat one table away from our table...for normal healthy person like u and me would take less then a min to enter and sat at the place..but for that he actually took about 5 mins to walk to that table..reason..he was crippled...After he placed his plastic bag on the table to reserve the table...he walked again to the counter to order his drink...
Me:Dear.. u... tgk lah kesian seh org tua tu.,dah lah tempang..tapi satu staff pun tak approached dia..kalau lah i, i suruh dia duduk seh, i yg akan amik order dia..tak payah susah2 nak jalan kat counter...takan seh diorang(staff) tak perasan keadaan dia..
prince: u..asal kepoh sangat? manelah tahu diorang bz?
Me:Bz ke?dari tadi seh i perhatikan..tak ada org pun tolong...staff berlambak!
prince: u ni kepoh seh...kalau u ada restaurent sendiri boleh lah u buat ape yg u suke k...
when the man reached at the counter...
Man: 1 black coffee
staff: uncle u order wrong counter lah..this is where u collect ur coffee..
u want to order, at other counter..at the cashier there...
poor cripple man had to walked to another counter..
Me: Dear kalau i lah..i suruh org tua tu duduk dulu nanti i sent kan kat dear...
prince: haiz...
after that man ordered his drink..
Staff: here ur change..
Man: my coffee?
Staff:uncle u got to go another counter lah..
(the staff giggle away with other staff when they saw how this man walked again to another counter)-this one i dident saw it but my prince saw it himself..
surprisingly without any guiltiness or pity towards this man..he gave the coffe and let this man carry the saucer and the cup himself..
my dear friends..can u imagine urself being cripple..where by one of ur leg is shorter than the other one, and imagine a parkinson person holding a saucer in his hand?thats what i saw...and i cant believe it myself..2 person stood up from their seats..and came forward to help....dont be shock if i say it is not the staff but the customers themselve..
Me: uncle come i help u k..
Man: thank you ah gal..
i know some eyes r looking at me..but who cares i am just helping this old man..
reached his seat
Me:uncle u want sugar? i take 4 u ok...?
Man: ya..ya i want..thank q r gal..
to my surprise, after this senario happen, not a single staff approached that man...
went to take a sit at my table after giving the sur=gar to that man...
Prince: u.. i macam nak hemput seh budak perempuan melayu tu..
Me: asal pulak..u yg kata, jgn kepoh tadi...
Prince: tak adalah i tak kisah kalau dia tak mahu tolong..tapi jgn lah ketawa kan org...
Me: dah lah,dah lah..control lah sikit..
in conclusion, we should set up a gd standard when serving our customer..and not practising a double standard...not just gd service towards "Ang Moh"..but show a gd service towards uncle or aunties when they visit cafe...i myself have been in this service line for 4 years and i know it is not easy to satisfy all customer...but i feel that going an extra mile..such as helping an disable man carrying his coffee to his table does not even take such a heavy work load...
gdnite pple...
